This was a short story that I had to do for my Creative Writing class back in high school.
It was fun little story that was started with using a story starter that my teacher gave us. Then we had free range to do whatever we wanted to the 500 word story.
This one I made while I was on a YouTube binge of Haunted and Exploring. If that doesn't give you the biggest hint of who all is mentioned in this story, then I guess you'll just have to take the 5 minutes of reading this story to find out.

The 12th Friend
Short Story Series #1: The 12th Friend (REVISED) A group of friends would always have each other's back. That's what they are. 7 boys and 4 girls. Nothing can set them apart. They've known each other since highschool. Now, they're in college; still goofing around like pre-school kids. This group of friends is all about happiness. This group of friends knows each other's secrets. Everything about them is perfect, but one group vacation will change their lives forever. The trust that they built to each other will slowly vanish. One day when Laura is walking home from the High school bus stop, she notices something in the corner of her eye. A black truck with tinted windows just sitting on the corner with the head lights and engine running. She turns back around and starts to walk toward her house as the truck engine gets louder. Each student is assigned as a visitor to one inmate each, to learn life from their perspective. After the week is up, the students are free to go home finally. But, when the teacher announces that the students can continue to "stay in touch" with their inmate, one student decides to because she feels her inmate has a good heart. We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks. Caleb sat next to me, with obvious fear in his eyes. I knew that the desk couldn't hide us for much longer and that's what scared me the most. The footsteps came closer and they grew louder by the second. I held my breath once I heard the man's footsteps stop. Caleb and I exchanged looks as we sat frozen under the desk. I looked up, trying to listen to the man's actions. Then a gloved hand grabbed the edge of the desk and the man's bloody mask appeared in front of me. He stared at us and chuckled, "Found you." · · · Seven classmates find themselves in detention from breaking the rules at their school. This, of course, isn't their first time in detention but something seemed different. The teacher leaves to do something leaving the kids completely unsupervised which was kind of weird. He usually left some goody two shoes to watch them but this time there was no one except them. Creepy things begin to happen and they find themselves locked in the school. What was this?
