The Republic of Linae is a nation divided by ability. The Wolfani are societies elites with powers that can manipulate the world around them. Anyone who isn't Wolfani is automatically considered less than human.

Majority of Allyson Hansen's life has been spent as a Catipilis, despite secretly being the president's daughter. Her entire world changes the day that she discovers her ability.

Cameron Hansen has only known a world of privilege. As the son of the president and a Wolfani, Cameron does not need to know anything else. When his Catipilis twin sister comes into the picture, however, Cameron is forced to review his beliefs.

Eric Blickerman is a foreigner with a dark past. He views the Wolfani of Linae as overprivileged, avoiding their influence at all cost. That is until he meets Allyson, who is the exact opposite of what he expects.

Lydia Dyrn has been disowned by her family. After an incident allows her to escape from the Catipilis prison, Lydia is left with nowhere else to turn. That is until one of the nation's rebel groups, the Blue Sun, finds her alone in the woods.

Linae is a nation full of secrets and lies. A nation where these four teens are forced to fight for their lives against politics, assassins, and revolutions. A nation with a president that is willing to use children to send a message against his enemies and who will do whatever it takes to remain in a position of power.
