There's a myth about dreams only lasting a couple seconds, but since it's only in your subconscious it's stretched out to feel like hours. There's also a myth that once you die, your brain is still active for approximately 7 minutes, but since that's also your subconscious we can imagine that to be stretched out too. So when two random teenagers at a party get selected to play a game of seven minutes in heaven and end up dying unexpectedly in the first minute, entering a dream state world where they don't know they're dead, who knows what could happen. After all, it's only seven minutes, right?
