Land or Water?
Sollux was by the ocean, sitting on the dock one day. He doesn't really have the greatest life on land, he was fired from his job, he needed money to pay rent for his apartment, he didn't have many friends, and things just didn't work out for him anymore. As he gets up to leave from the dock, he falls into the ocean, but then he's saved by some mystery person and when he finds out it was a merman who saved him, he becomes great friends with him and finds out that his name is Eridan. But then, Eridan's father disapproves of their friendship and does something horrible. Sollux then finds Eridan with tons of cuts and bruises all over him, on the beach and helps him out. He does all of this while keeping him secret from everyone else except for his best friend, Karkat. After some time, he realizes that he can't stay on land if he wants to keep Eridan safe. Sollux will have to choose whether to stay on land and look for a different way to help him, or to become a merman himself and live in the water for the rest of his life. This is a complete reworking of my story "Bump Buddies". So if you've read the original, throw out everything you think you know and remember and start anew! Y/N has always struggled to find a family to call her own. Her biological parents abandoned her, her adoptive ones died tragically and her adoptive brothers are both too selfish to give her the time of day. She's good at hiding how hurt it makes her feel, but little does she know one bad decision will lead to the family she's always dreamed of. It's not conventional, it's not ideal, but it sure is entertaining. I love everyone that supported the first story but I'm so embarrassed by it due to how young I was when it was written. Now, 6 years later I want to try again and make it worth your time. So let's enjoy this new adventure together!
