4 students.
A world of conflict.
A chance to escape...
That turns terribly wrong.

Cairo is struggling with gender identity and has always been the backbone of terrible rumours. But with her partner dead, she's got some truly terrible accusations under her belt.

Mallory has a 4.0 GPA, a 1510 on her SAT and yet no school will take her in. The stress of needing to be the one in a million in a family of 9 has really started to get to her, especially since she's seen as the one who would take care of her family.

Hesper is mysterious in her own right. Skipping an entire year, she's forced to retake junior year. Excitable and usually sporty, she seems rather bleak and solitary this year.

Alex has a reputation that precedes him. History with Hesper and a talent to pick up ladies, his weaknesses fall in the family category. Tired of being transferred from house to house, he decides to escape until his 18th birthday.

They all have their reasons for leaving. But there's still so much that none of them know about the real world: and in truth, it'll be survival of the fittest here.

Morgan is going back to school, again. It's time to get cooking, and Morgan is on her third attempt at getting her life together. She's determined to win the cooking competition, leave her mother's house of sin, and take her brother, Peter, with her. Morgan is fed up with supplementing her mother's habits and being taken advantage of. All she wants now is to fight for the future she deserves. Confronting her mistakes, and accepting the things, and people, she cannot change is a harrowing thing to do when you're also tasked with caring for someone who can't defend themselves. With the stakes of a better life and a chance at freedom so close at hand, she does not have time to fool around or get distracted yet, there is something about Nikolai that makes her feel safe enough to talk about her problems and surprisingly, he reciprocates that sentiment by discussing his troubles. Having someone by her side that she can relate to and be open with, doesn't seem so bad. But what if that someone is revealed to be a Professor!? Just wait until Rebecca hears about this, surely trouble is bound to happen.
