"Calum? Don't leave me down here alone, please. Calum?" I replied, and started my ascent up the stairs. "Calum, come back. This isn't fun-" I was cut off by a loud scream and a gun shot. "CALUM!" I screamed, sobs escaping my lips. His body fell to the ground near the top of the stairs, blood pooling around his lifeless figure. I raced down the stairs, only to trip and tumble down the rest of the way, pain radiating from my left forearm to nearly my shoulder. I quickly got to my feet, running as fast as they would carry me out of the woods and to the nearest police station.

Holding my hand tight in his, he whispered, "Will you remember it all? For me?" His eyes were brimming with tears and I watched his throat choke on the words he wanted to say. "No," I replied resolutely. Letting his chin drop to his chest, he released a sob so soft, I wonder if I conjured it in my imagination. I felt two hot tears drop onto my wrist and I squeezed his hand with all of my strength. "I won't remember it all," I said, "Because you are more than just a memory to me."
