Alana Smoke is the girl everyone wants to be and everyone looks up to her despite being the ultimate bad girl. After returning home after two years of being sent away to boarding school, seventeen year old Lana is more than happy. When she finds herself returning to the school she thought she'd seen the back off, nothing has changed. Younger pupils still bow down to her, the boys all still want her in their beds and the one person she dislikes the most, Alistair Creed is still his old, annoyingly, disgusting but popular self. Lana and Alistair do everything together, always have done even though they both insist they hate the living day lights out of each other. But Lana starts to think maybe things have changed. When she returns to her usual habits of partying with no one other than Alistair Creed, she begins to think that maybe, just maybe the boy who has been her worst nightmare since she was five, could possibly be the only boy she wants. Maybe even needs. Will Lana follow her heart and go for the guy who teased her for twelve years or will she listen to her head and choose to remain frenemies for the rest of their lives?

"Marek, don't do this. Keep your captainship. I'll tell the truth about what happened and we'll both be out of the deal." "But-" "I don't know what your doing, if you think this is going to win you attention or sympathy. Or maybe you are being a noble prat and doing as 'you should'. Plus, I don't mean anything to you. Never have, never will. So please, please, stop acting like I'm special. " "But you are." And then his voice cracked, and I cracked with it. ------------------------ She's sick of his arrogant ways, and the bragging. With her goal being to slap some sense into him, she makes a deal; they act like a couple in every sense of the word and the first one to fall in love? Loses. It's only when she realises he may not be such a terrible man after all that she doubts her ability to win. But what if the one thing she put on the line is the one thing she would die trying to protect? Will she allow a relationship to blossom under pressure from her past? **Disclaimer** The drawing in the cover isn't mine (but it was so pretty I used it anyway). If you know who it belongs to, tell me and I can give them the rightful credit. **Implication of sex and some minor bad language. Do not read unless mature enough.**
