Not because Draco was the image of his father but because while he was living in the modern wizarding world, he still believed that any female witch, pureblood or not, should have to listen and obey to her father, brother, boyfriend, husband or whichever male it may be in her life.
Her family's hatred towards her grew even more after she was sorted into Gryffindor on her first day of Hogwarts.
