Lauren Nettle is sixteen and, unluckily, happens to live next-door to the one boy who she has hated for the the past four years, Mike.

Why does she hate him? Because once upon a time she had a crush on him, and he broke her heart. From that day, she loathed every inch of his perfect body.

So she is shocked to hear that he will come to stay with her family for three weeks.
A day into his stay, she has her sixteenth birthday sleepover, and something extraordinary happens, he kisses her.

She doesn't know whether to forgive him or never speak to him again for what he did and finds that the decision is much more complicated than it initially seems...
