and Sirius Black isn't drowning in a family legacy that he never really wanted to inherit (really he isn't)
Yet another take on the 'Sirius is rich and knows no boundaries and Remus is making it by, but just barely' trope + Sirius is older (!) than Remus (but not by much) and very much wants to take care of him.

Harry Potter was born into a rough time in the Wizarding Community. Lord Voldemort was in power and far too few could match his strength.
