The year is 2192 a group of scientists invented a dimension warping gate in hopes of duplicating Earth's natural resources. Instead, the gate brings together Earth and Xiani, a different dimension. With this brought monsters, artifacts, magics, and war. It is a losing battle for Earth by the year 2217. When GE:217 joins the battle.

There are 7 dimensions controlled by a Universal Government. Each dimension is governed by its own unique universal laws. There are a few things they have in common, there is always 1 the strongest and 1 the smartest. Except for the Universal Government, it's forbidden to travel between dimensions. Interdimensional gates don't close on their own and if left open, creatures that dwell in the darkness between the worlds will find their way through. The year is 2030. The United States of America is enjoying a relative peace time. While there are still tensions around the world, the U.S. has managed to avoid any major conflicts. That was until a mysterious medieval-looking structure appeared out of nowhere in the middle of Washington D.C. Suddenly, the nation's capital is under attack by a medieval-style army and creatures only seen in fantasy stories. This mysterious army, however, soon realizes that they stepped on the dragon's tail. This story is based off the anime/manga series, Gate, but follows a different storyline and characters.
