It ended as abruptly as it started, and we found ourselves in a new world.

We were given the chance, and we took it.

Summoning Bad Writing is a satirical fanfiction based off of Nihonkoku Shoukan, or Summoning Japan, in which I attempt to be funny but fail miserably.

Amidst escalating Chinese aggression in the Pacific, Japan and the United States maintained their strong alliance, fully aware of the looming possibility of Taiwan facing an invasion. Japan, having emerged as an economic powerhouse in the Pacific after the Civil War and World War II, was viewed by China as a major obstacle to its expansionist ambitions. With Article 9 no longer in effect, recent developments indicated Japan's unwavering determination to defend Taiwan. The Japanese government considered their fleet of four carriers crucial in this regard. However, unforeseen circumstances would soon engulf Japan and the United States, transporting them to a world where magic and dragons held fundamental significance. Embracing their new reality, Japan and the United States forged a fresh coalition, leveraging their influence and steadfast principles in this unfamiliar realm. In light of agreed-upon arrangements, the two nations embarked on a joint expeditionary force to explore the new world, fully aware that the likelihood of this world aligning with their coalition was slim. As they beheld the new world, Japan and America encountered conflicts and ongoing wars that surpassed the brutality of their previous reality. They navigated this unfamiliar land, seeking to establish themselves as influential entities. The new world would soon have the opportunity to learn from the experiences and ideals of Japan and America. Based on the series of Nihonkoku Shoukan. CONTENT WARNING: Japanese ultranationalism, language, gore depictions, obscene scenery Off to the Orient lay a massive ocean that separated the bellies of the great continents of Eurasia and the Americas. In between the global juggernauts that were the United States of America and the People's Republic of China was a state home to 120 million people and the world's third largest economy. But things often don't go as hoped. The nation of Japan suddenly wakes up to the heavens above them having been rewritten in what seemed like divine premonition. A familiar, yet otherwise alien world awaited them beyond the shores that had kept them safe. As the vices of globalization threatened to wreck havoc and condemn the Japanese state into obscurity, it was up to newly elected Prime Minister Takamori Hideaki and his administration to face this challenge of epic proportions. Paying homage to みのろう's Summoning Japan (Nihonkoku Shoukan, NHS) as a fan-made work, this story will also follow Japan, but explores a completely different world. Now helmed by a named Prime Minister, Japan will wade the murky waters of the new world as it struggles to come to terms with its issues. Also available on Scribble Hub, Royal Road, and Fanfiction.net
