All Sassy Suthers wanted to do with her life was get through school and work on her plans for the future. At fifteen-years-old, it's considered strange for her to have her dreams figured out, but with the support of her uncle and best friend, Sassy just wants to make them proud and prove that she won't allow anything to hold her back. That means completing her last three years of high school without any issues.
Then her best friend invites her to a party. And when a cruel prank goes wrong, Sassy finds herself caught in a dangerous situation, which leads to her gaining powerful abilities.
Reluctantly armed with her new powers, Sassy is determined to continue living her life as normally as she can. Her best friend, on the other hand, is set on pushing her towards using her powers for the good of the world. Sassy is left to figure out how to make it through high school while juggling powers that she never even wanted, along with donning the identity of Gaea, the protector of Earth.

Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. Since discovering she could teleport six months ago she's been trying to juggle being a high school student by day, and a vigilante by night with failing results. Unable to stay awake in classes from her late nights, her grades are dropping fast, and to top it off her exhaustion has she left friendless. When saving late night employees from a burning building puts Taylor in the path of a dangerous criminal, she ends up in an altercation that forces her to realize she needs help. Help comes from two unlikely people: Clint and Dominic who bring their own complications. As the problems keep building, Taylor is quickly learning that having an ability doesn't mean she knows how to protect the city, let alone herself. "It was amazing!!! I laugh as I walk down to the shore, holding the heels of my shoes as I walk far enough for the cool water to rush around my ankles. It's funny how life works out. I never pictured myself to be the girl outside the party, thinking about my life choices while I am half drunk but I guess kissing the school's bad boy does that to you. I wonder where I would be if I never met Cleo. If I never became her friend. Would I still have no friends? Would still be playing soccer? Would I have rebelled? I probably would still be drunk right now, I think to myself, and laugh bitterly, but get rudely interrupted. "Put your hands up, you are under arrest." I hear, spinning around and almost falling into the lake, but I save myself and there I see the flashing lights of the police, and a nice one holding cuffs, looking straight at me. Well this isn't good. ~*~ Quinn and Cleo are the best of friends. They do everything together, from sports to parties, to having a weekly girls night only for the two of them. They rule the school, but like any friendship, one is always has more power than the other, and that being Cleo. She made Quinn the girl she is today, because without her Quinn would be the bad girl that her attitude and personality was leading her to be. Cleo saved Quinn from herself. But after one fateful party Quinn learns that friendship always has an end game, and the one between her and Cleo is not yet over.Complete

An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote.
