(Preview) It was raining over los Angeles this early morning. The city looked pretty as the sun rose up in the rain. The sunset reflected off over the rainy buildings. The slight thunder in the background gave a calming vibe throughout the city. I love looking out this window in my apartment that overlooked the city. I could hear the rain outside and it looked so pretty to see the city during the rain. I moved into this apartment 2 years ago because of the view of the city. The sound of the rain and noise of the city made me think back to my days in highschool. I used to look through the flea market in highschool when I didn't really know anyone. I loved to collect the stones that had special meanings. I also knew someone who said that they looked lovely on me one late and starry night. We had fun that night in the tent on the hill. To tell you this story I would have to take you back to where it began. It all began halfway through the first semester of school. I had just turned 18 and I was exploring a new world. Not really though because I was a little baby in highschool. To really get into this story I'm going to step into my highschool shoes.

I was used to the quiet. The isolated life I had made for myself felt safe away from the greed and carnage the world left behind. The apocalypse wasn't supposed to happen, we all thought it was an earthquake - an event that wouldn't mean anything in a few days, let alone be remembered in the history books as the worst day in human history. But now, we starved, killed and survived the horrors that walk the earth. What else could we do? I was fine, safe, content in my cabin, but that was all before. Before I met Damien. _________________________________________ "What's wrong? Do you not see this?" "They were scaring you, were they not?" "Yes, but.."
