Delving Evil (Stand Alone)

The City of East Galton is a well-known location where there's no rule to act in accordance with, also acknowledged as the city of betrayal; a sanctuary of wicked shadows.

No handcuffs. No law. No justice.

Everyone celebrated when a new site was launched- Delving Evil by an unspecified webmaster.

Delving Evil intent to provide every sinful wish costs huge amounts of cash. The people in the city were craving revenge, thirsting to do dirty on and lusting over money.

Each deserving blood came out to the bodies, all skins that needed to be scarred were wrecked and every life disgustingly ended. Everyone is glorious until the website screws up.

It automatically changes its target for someone's immoral desires.

Can you trust anyone who may cut your neck off while you're leaning on their shoulders to cry on?

Can you trust anyone who may let your blood flow on the cold floor?

Can you trust anyone who may be the reason why your life will end?

Can you even trust yourself?

𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀... 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂. My job as a therapist is simple. I talk to my clients, find out what's bothering them, and make sure to listen when they open up to me. Then after a month or more of one-on-one sessions, they leave my office a reformed individual, a happy individual. EXCEPT THAT ISN'T WHAT HAPPENS. Someone IS killing my clients. The cops think I'm hiding something from them because I'm the ONLY thing connecting the victims of this killer. How do I prove I'm innocent, and all I want is for the murders to stop? Then the ANONYMOUS ENVELOPES start showing up. In each envelope is an item belonging to my dead client. The killer is reaching out. If I don't act quickly, another body will drop, AND IT WILL BE MY FAULT. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩? 𝘼 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝. Murky Waters (2022 Wattys' Shortlist)

35 parts Complete Mature

[2022 Wattys shortlisted story] A missing family. A twenty year old murder. An old ghost story. And a private detective from London. But what do they all have in common? It's the job of DCI Neo Denzel to figure it all out. In the quiet town of Marton, Shropshire, a place where nothing really happens, a car sits abandoned. The Bennett family have simply disappeared without a trace. It's the job of the town's DCI to find them, but with so little evidence it could prove impossible. Until Charlie Hoggins is hired to find the missing family. It doesn't take long for the DCI to get his feathers ruffled by the interloper into his case, and yet she may end up being one of his most useful assets, as long as he can remember that the case comes first. As their feelings change for each other, will they ever solve the case and finally put their ghosts to rest?
