This is the world of Albia.  A fantasy regency world where the republic of Albia is doing its best to survive against the three Kingdoms after breaking free.  

Rather than concentrating on Kings and playmakers etc. here are the short stories of the bit players who are just as vital.  From the highwayman who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, an assassin, would be magician and a dragon trying to find its way home.
