"Now what's a pretty girl like you doing on your hands and knees, scrubbing the floor?" The deep voice speaks from above me. The same deep voice I heard yelling just seconds before the sound of a deafening gunshot down the hall.
"I'm a room attendant, sir, I'm just doing my job." I respond fearfully, forcing my eyes from glancing up at the menacing man.
He exhales a chuckle of cynical amusement, his footsteps getting closer and closer to my presence on the marble floor until I eventually spot a pair of pristine black loafers covered in blood.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you." The gravelly voice says threateningly.
I swallow.
I stop scrubbing the floor and slowly glance up at the man. Immediately I am struck by the green of his eyes. They remind me of a snake as they stare at me with such intensity.
"Good girl. Now, if you are just a room attendant, then why are you out here instead of cleaning one of the rooms?" He says with a sly smirk.
I try not to express panic on my face as I search my head for a believable answer to give him but before I can even begin to respond he answers for me with a clicking of his tongue.
"Now this..." The man sighs whilst bending down to my head level. "This is a bit of a complication for us isn't it." He finishes while his penetrating gaze bores into my slightly trembling stature.
I'm fucked.
