The boy shook his head and cowered in his seat, blue and red flashing lights illuminating the interior of the police station. Radios crackled and coffee cups thudded against desks.
"A lawyer is someone who helps someone explain their side of the story. You're not in any trouble," Matt took a silent note at how the boy seemed to relax at this, his breathing slowing like a turbulent river meeting the ocean, "I'm just here to help you explain what you saw. Does that sound okay?"
