The day after Gale, Katniss's best friend who lives next door, moves out, a new family moves in. The Mellark's. Katniss and Peeta become good friends. Katniss later finds out that Peeta has feelings for her. Katniss doesn't know if she feels the same way about Peeta. But as they get closer, she learns that can't live without him.
