It's Christmas Eve, and Lukas finds himself at home with his family when he'd rather be anywhere else. After the death of his mother many years ago, the holidays serve as nothing but a reminder of everything he's lost. But, not wanting to disappoint his younger brother, he agrees to attend.
After all, it is Christmas; the day he's expected to act like his mother isn't dead, like the world isn't broken, and like he's not the one who has to fix it.
But with his girlfriend Lavender joining them, maybe this year will be more bearable. Maybe this year, with a little help, he'll be able to move on from the pain and see the light at the end of the tunnel. No matter how far away that light may seem.
