Axel and Cassandra were both brought up with the same ideas of marriage; a man was
only as successful as the amount of money he made and the amount he was able to
leave behind to his kids, and a woman was only as successful as the man she
married. Not only that but they also had this crazy idea that finding someone
was one-hundred times more difficult after thirty.

Cassandra always imagined that when she was proposed marriage, that it would be in the
most magical and romantic way she could ever dream of. Most importantly, she
imagined that her fiancée to be would be planning every single detail to
perfection. To her surprise and close to no help from her fiancée, she plans
her fake engagement. Why did she agree to this in the first place? Is it really
worth all the emotional freedom? Not having her family pressure her about
marriage all the time, not having to worry about horrible blind dates again,
helping a fellow friend out... Yes they both might be lying to some of the most
important people of their lives, but it seemed like a really great idea when
Axel proposed... "it". The idea, not actually proposing, that's Cassandra job.
