Tranquillity and serenity guaranteed for the emo girl by the nonchalant guy. Marsai and Jason respectively. Marsai is going through a difficult phase filled with hurdles of pain, trauma, depression and stress which are all effects of a tragic event that changed her life. Her polar opposite Jason has everything on a silver platter with a golden spoon. Or so it appears to the rest of the world but again not everything is as it seems as there are phrases like "don't believe everything you see", "not all that glitters is gold" and "eyes are deceiving". Commitment issues meets attachment issues. Are they headed for a crash? °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° "Is that so?" I enquire not breaking eye contact. He keeps quiet, failing to keep my gaze. He taught me this trick, time to taste your own medicine. I eye him up and down grinding my hips slowly on him. Seductively I run my thumb down my lips and bite my bottom lip. His eyes darken with lust. "Don't be nonchalant with me boy." I get off his lap and walk away.

How do you know when someone doesn't love you anymore? Adelaide had started to suspect that her childhood love was drifting further and further away from her. She felt like she was losing him, and so in return, she decided to lose herself in order to keep him. Jason had been her safety net ever since she was 11 years old in a brand new town and life. He became her start, and her end. And so when Jason gets a golden opportunity that requires him to leave behind Adelaide, she's left behind with a broken heart and a bucketload of tears. Now stuck in a ratty old town where everyone knows everyone, she couldn't understand why she suddenly felt alone. Jason was starting to experience the world outside their small town, his temptations getting the best of him as he slowly started to forget his life back home. Life was changing for both of them as one individual followed temptation and adventure, while the other was left to live with half a heart. Which left them with one more question; Is your first love really worth it, even when you feel as if you aren't?
