Nothing particularly terrible has happened (yet), but every day he goes longer and longer without meaningful personal contact, he feels like he loses a part of himself. He's really not sure how much longer he can keep this up. Meanwhile, MJ and Ned keep having weird experiences. Memories seem to flash and flutter, disappearing before they can grasp them, and it's getting increasingly annoying. It feels like they're missing something big, but with their friendship intact, senior year coming to a close, and the looming promise of MIT in the fall, they can't tell what it is. Between the mystery of Peter Parker (the coffee boy who keeps showing up at her job), the unreliability of her own memories, and the stress of her school life, MJ doesn't quite know how to feel. Thick clouds of dust and smoke fill the air as I cough, a cold liquid dripping down my lips. "MJ! Hey... hey you're okay." Peter rushes out, dropping down next to me hurriedly taking off his mask. His brown hair a mess as he looks at me with concern. "I'm okay... don't... don't worry." he smiles at me, tears in his beautiful brown eyes. I felt his left hand firmly press down on my stomach making me let out a pained cry. "I'll get you help... stay with me. Please just stay awake Mary." He goes to lift my body, but I stop him, cupping his face. My body contorting in pain at his attempts. "Shh... It's okay, just be with me." I whisper my eyes drooping shut, suddenly exhausted, all the struggle, the pain. He lets out a cry holding onto my upper half. "I'll be okay... we'll be okay." I cough harshly a copper taste filling my mouth. "Don't leave me. God please I need you," I smile at him with the most love I could conjure, I pet his bloody cheek and lean up as far as I could manage kissing him. Why couldn't I do my job. I didn't and now I'm here with three holes in my stomach, staring at the man I love as I crush his soul. "I love you, my Peter Parker." I almost whimper out in a pained wheeze. "I love you..." he repeated it over and over pressing his forehead to mine, I squeeze his hand and hold his face. His nose pressing to mine lightly as his breath fanned my lips. "Find me, Pete... (book 1) y/n stark is really not here for this european school vacation because in this post-endgame world, she's mourning the loss of her dad. but one (1) sticky boi peter parker is just trying to be the friend he once was while also trying not to flirt too much because if she rejects him (which she wouldn't, not that he knows that) while they're in venice holy hell he'll just pitch himself off the gondola right then and there. basically, y/n has been distancing herself & peter misses her & this school trip is a great way for him to coax her back into the real world & y/n really loves peter but is super sensitive and scared to lose him & also mysterio shows up at some point ugh @ nick fury leave ned leeds alone *this story was written prior to avengers: infinity war & spider-man: far from home coming out. therefore, the canon in which these characters live in is different from the mcu. in this canon - tony stark, captain america, & thor have all died. black widow & vision have survived. the decimation, where half the population was snapped from existence was erased with time travel so those who were snapped came back within online minutes, leaving some residual trauma. in this canon, those who survived the decimation only lived six months without those who were snapped, but those six months have been erased - leaving only the avengers to fully remember what happened.Complete
