The world wasn't always as kind as it is now. Things used to be much more... nightmarish.
When people are born, they're all given a number indicating how much power they will possess in their lifetime. The numbers are on a scale of one to a hundred, one being the most powerful.
But, there hasn't been a one spotted since the Pixl Queen. Ones are seen as dangerous because of their potential and are to be killed at birth to prevent future tragedies. Not that many had been born. In fact, it's extremely rare to get any numbers below ten.
A young Blumiere lives in a dark tribe in this dark world. Labeled as a number six, he is the most powerful being born as far as everyone knows.
But what happens when he finds himself in the presence of a One?
A tale about friendship. About finding light and love in a world where that doesn't seem apparent. About lasting bonds and about broken bridges. Join us, as One shines a flashlight into the darkness. Follow Blumiere as he follows One in his quest to bring back the sun.
AN: For once, this is NOT a ship story. I want to be clear, it is NOT a BlumierexOne story in any way. It is purely a story about friendship and the bond between two children. This story takes place before SPM. It's an alternate Universe where things used to be a lot darker, so it's by no means canon to either game. The universe is heavily based on Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2, however, though some names are the same, none of those characters from that game are in this. This story is a mixture of both, taking characters from Super Paper Mario and putting them into a universe similar to Little Nightmares. Please Enjoy!

It's now been 3 years since the Pixl Queen had died, and Dimentio is now turning 18, which means that he is now of age to take his place on her throne, but also... Time to choose his lifelong partner. Since a very VERY young age, Dimentio has been gifted with many powers and abilities, much like his mother, but after an incident occurs, he harms someone close to him and becomes scared of himself. He is given a mask to help suppress and focus his powers, but will it be enough? Will he be the perfect prince his mother wanted him to be or will he just make a fool of himself? (This is an SPM AU where the Pixl Queen was never overthrown, in case I didn't make that clear. (This story takes place directly after the Ultimate Show and towards the end of Era 2 of Steven Universe.) Super Dimentio is defeated, Blumiere and Timpani disappeared, the Chaos Heart is gone. Everything is good now, right? Wrong. Mario and Luigi go back to Castle Bleck to search for any signs of the villain Dimentio returning. Instead, Luigi finds only the gemstone Dimentio wore on his collar. Mario tells him not to do anything with it, but he doesn't listen and now Luigi has a problem on his hands. There are a few MAJOR changes in this one compared to the original. In this one, I also address the gems that both Nastasia and Count Bleck/Blumiere wear. BUT, I'm giving this one a different ending.
