A group of orphans, foster care escapees, and runaways found safety in numbers, but when the town starts getting suspicious of them, they have to get creative and decide to attend the local school. Parent signatures and hard tests become the least of their worries as Stella searches for the answers as to why she was abandoned on the streets. They do say curiosity killed the cat...

Stella - or Star as her friends call her- has been an orphan since she was an infant. She was found on the streets by two of the first members of 'the gang' with nothing but her name. They taught her valuable lessons and she soon became part of the constantly growing family. she never cared about her biological family, at least she never showed that she cared. Until she did.
