One day, the sun vanished, plunging the world into eternal darkness. With it came the Haunts, monstrous beings born of shadow, intent on spreading their plague across the earth. Humanity stood on the brink of extinction, until the arrival of the mysterious Light. This radiant force became their salvation, capable of obliterating the Haunts and shielding the last bastions of civilization.

The Light gifted humanity two great tools. First, some were chosen to wield its energy directly, becoming Weavers, elemental warriors bound to a single affinity such as fire, ice, or wind. Second, the Light was harnessed into lamps and weapons, creating safe zones where the Haunts dared not tread. Cities grew around these glowing sanctuaries, their survival reliant on the lamps' power.

As years passed, the Haunts evolved, and so did humanity's understanding of the Light. Not all creatures of darkness were hostile-some, like the Lycans, humans who could shift into wolf-like forms, and the Bloodbearers, modern-day vampires, sought peace and refuge. These factions allied with humans to fight the Haunts, but tensions ran high. Prejudice and fear brewed mistrust, threatening the fragile alliances.

To maintain order, the Council was formed, uniting humans, Weavers, Lycans, and Bloodbearers in a shared effort to combat the darkness. Together, they devised strategies to survive and uncover the truth behind the eternal night. Yet, as the Haunts grew more powerful and resistant to the Light, the world's factions found themselves fractured.

In this realm of darkness, where the Light offers both hope and destruction, the lines between friend and foe blur. The Council's unity wavers as secrets surface, and a single question looms: can the darkness truly be defeated, or is it an unending part of their existence? The fight for survival begins anew, but this time, humanity's greatest enemy may come from within.

A light obscured often goes dark. Sabrina Verrun is a witch and the most gifted metallurgist her Hexen coven has seen in a century. Unfortunately, she has no interest in being a traditional metal-worker, repairing broken items and making trinkets to sell in the Hexen shop...she wants to create new things, things no one has ever seen before. While she dreams of devoting her life to her metal-working, her mother has other plans...she wants Sabrina to follow in her footsteps and take over as coven leader, putting aside metal in favor of assuming responsibility for the well-being of the other witches. Sabrina has no desire to do such a thing, and as she fights for control of her own life, she's determined to create something that proves her research is worthwhile, earning her the freedom she so desperately craves. But as those she lives with manipulate her, ignore her, and treat her as if she doesn't know her own mind, she eventually turns her attention to the one place she's forbidden from entering-the Schwarzwald, a magical, yet deadly, forest ruled by the elusive and powerful Forest King. Eventually, Sabrina finds herself willing to go to any lengths to control her own destiny, and the choices she makes along the way affect not only herself, but her coven, other magic users, and one important life yet to come. A light obscured often goes dark, and a passion can too easily become an obsession in this cautionary coming-of-age prequel to Witch, Wolf, Woods.

"Shift." His voice hit me like a serrated blade as he stepped out of the crude semicircle of hardened wolves that had formed around me. I pushed myself off of the cold floor for what felt like the thousandth time that day, wiping the small trail of blood coming off of my lip and down my chin. "I won't ask you again." My limbs felt like lead, these wolves had been at me for hours trying to get me to shift into my wolf, unbeknown to them was that their efforts would forever be futile considering the fact my wolf wouldn't make an appearance for me even when I begged. I seriously doubted she would suddenly pop up as a result of their abusive tactics. Instead of explaining my circumstances, driven by a bizarre combination of adrenaline and fatigue, I leaned back on my heels and sent the largest loogie I'd ever conjured flying over and landing squarely between the eyes of the man before me. oOoOoOoOoOo As a late bloomer who was incapable of shifting yet, let alone making any contact with her wolf, Olive Ludovic's life was not off to the best start. Growing up, constantly being tormented and taunted by those around her forced Olive to grow a tough skin and work even harder, despite the fact she was without her wolf. When her home is taken over by a dark pack, life seems to only get worse for Olive as it is quickly discovered that her mate is none other than Matteo, the Alpha of the very pack that was terrorizing her people. It seems to her, that life is just a little bit easier for Olive the Other Werewolves. oOoOoOo hello! just fyi there will be mature language and content as the book progresses so i'm letting ya know now ;) HIGHEST WEREWOLF RANKING = 2, LOVE RANKING = 3 (out of 1.8 million books XD), MAGIC RANKING = 1, ROMANCE RANKING = 1 (out of 1.5 million books XD), VAMPIRE RANKING =1!
The Myth - The Fading Eden by KatarzynaGawronska1

According to one of myths in the Universe, the God of Chaos, Azahar, united with the mother of stars, Thilija. From the merging of darkness and light, their daughter Shelaya was born, who, as a demigoddess, was granted the unique gift of creation from the Source of Being-a neon river of magical essence. Shelaya created Eden. This secluded place in the Universe became their happy sanctuary until Thilija's death. Seeing her mother's light fade away in Azahar's arms, Shelaya, in despair, fled into Space-Time, haunted by the thought that her father was to blame for Thilija's death. Meanwhile, Eden began to wither, slowly turning into a barren wasteland, consuming every spark of energy in its path like a plague. Tired of running, Shelaya established the Crystal Kingdom, ruled by strict laws of order, obedience, and lack of empathy. People, granted access to the Source of Being, became ideal warriors and healers; men wielded magical flame and were immune to pain, while women received healing abilities. Each blessing from the Spirit of Milites enhanced their powers but also tightened the bonds on their souls. The Kingdom, surrounded by a high mountain chain, was completely sealed off from the outside world and the faithless. Inquisitors and Priestesses sent on crusades, burning the submission to Queen Shelaya into the hearts of the uninitiated. However, beneath the seemingly happy and prosperous Kingdom, a rebellion against her rule was brewing. The unfolding war between Darkness and Light, ruthless lawfulness, and the freedom of the heart inevitably drew in the main characters: Emir Cavalleys, an ambitious low-born Guardian; Seku Val'Larnez, a prince of a powerful Elven house; and Nicola Smith, a 28-year-old from rural Canada. Tasked with saving the Universe threatened by the spreading wasteland, they set out for the Crystal Kingdom.

"You can't tell anyone." His words hit me hard, but I was ready for them. I grimaced slightly, but did my best to hide it as I squeezed my arms in response. "Fine," I said, nodding at him but not wanting to meet his eyes. I was met with silence. "Was there anything else?" I bit off, my tone a little more irritated than I intended it to be. He raised an eyebrow at me, and I felt almost naked as he studied me. His expression wasn't completely cold, but I couldn't figure out what else it held. "I wasn't expecting this," he admitted eventually, as if this were the easiest topic in the world. "I didn't ask for it to happen right now. In fact, the timing is rather terrible. And I'm sorry for that. But no one can know about this, okay? No one." "I said fine," I snapped. "Why don't you just reject me and put me out of my misery? I guarantee I can do it again." He blinked, taken aback by her sudden outburst. "You... already had a mate? And you were rejected? Who is he?" "You don't need to know," I replied, tilting my head to one side as I narrowed my eyes at him. "If you want to keep secrets, then so can I." I wasn't off to a great start with him, but only the Moon Goddess knew that it was only going to get worse from here. . . . Rhea Riverwood has already been rejected once by the man she thought to be her mate, so when she's given a second chance, she can hardly believe her luck when it comes in the form of heartbreaker James Severin, King of the Alpha Werewolves and Rhea's second fated mate. Rhea struggles to come to terms with who she is and where she came from as James struggles with his feelings for her, but they need to pull their shit together fast when someone close makes it very clear they want revenge and the royal throne, and won't stop at murder to get them.
