When a road I venture has no end
All strides never leave the ground
Lights fade and mist descends
Monotony makes the heart pound
Inside a crack appears again
How adeptly can this be covered
Why can no one see the pain
And yet it has me smothered
Time seems such a cruel master
For every day begins the same
A sore hidden by a fickle plaster
Yet compelled, I play this game
If only fate would lend a hand
Brought on a silver platter
I could finally make a stand
Do things that truly matter
