Set during the second world war. Isabella and her sister Alice work as nurses at Pearl Harbor during the second world war. Listed by their father who always wanted a boy, the sisters go without any hesitation to make their father happy. There they meet their fellow co-works and pilots who they'd be attending. Among them is Edward Cullen. Edward comes from a military family with really big expectations from both his parents. Join the air force, fight and survive the war, marry a good class lady and have a boy for whom will follow the family legacy. With all the rules and expectations, Edward is grown to be serious and arrogant, indifferent toward anyone who shows any kind of affection toward him. Isabella hates his pride and his arrogance and he dislikes her independent way of being but the hatred is only a cover for the true feelings they have for each other.
