In the far future the population has over grown. To meet the demands of housing tall apartments and town houses have taken over. Gone are suburban neighborhoods, and countryside. Highways have been taken down in order to fit as many buildings as possible. The amount of space in between is hardly enough for four people to walk side by side. With everyone living closely together the social ladder is almost non-existent. You're either able to live semi-comfortably indoors, or you're out on the street sleeping on cardboard.

This new world is a cruel one with crime overflowing and the police fighting a losing battle, but some are able to find comfort in the few they trust.

Rory and Alura, after tragedy involving horrendous flames takes away what little they have, are able to find a new home in three new friends. All together they form a family that will die for each other. They create a pact to be together and never hurt on another, but as time goes on this creates an issue. To solve their crisis they decide to bring another into their circle.

Leonardo, unwillingly, gains a new family himself.
