Jamie has a unique superpower: she can see everyone's ties to each other. Even better, she can control who is tied to who. It used to be a great asset on her team, but she's gone rogue, cutting off her friends in order to control her life. Or find some control after everything that happened. That is, until a man appears who only has one string: and it's off-planet.

Tyler is The Force, the superhero with the biggest arrest record in New York, and also the prodigal son of the billionaire Du Pont family. He has a history with Jamie, but he just can't quite remember it. But when he's approached by the off-worlder, he knows he has to do what he can to protect Earth, and that means solving the puzzle that is Jamie.

And Jamie's starting to discover that destroying her connections to people, even covertly, is something that has consequences.
