"Will you be my partner?" I mutter, preparing for the worst.
The mystery girl stares at me, almost in a daze.
I stare back, almost regretting my idea. I don't want to rope this girl into my drama! I just don't want to be stuck with Jamie or Alex, who have been giving me the silent treatment all afternoon.

Her eyes seem to be possessed with something, as the sun's rays reflect off the glassy surface, ashamed to be in her presence.
