Back in Houston, Texas, Lauren Samuels was the class-A nerd in high school. She was the one who didn't have any friends, but didn't mind. She had her books, and they kept her happy, even if she was being tormented by the Popular's all the time. Yet, there was Axel. He was the bad boy of the popular's, but he was never too mean to her. She started tutoring him in Biology and his torments stopped, but his friend's didn't, and not once did he stand up for her.

After college, Lauren has now moved into the Windy City in hopes of becoming the best Nurse she can be. She's moved on from her past and is now a beautiful woman. She let go of the people who tortured her and is now levelheaded and determined to show everyone how amazing she is.

But what happens when someone from her past reappears?

Is it an omen or just a stupid joke?

Will her friends turn their back on her, just as she needs them. Or will they help in her downfall?
