Autonomous Robotic Organisms or Autobots for short had become a constant in Sage Witwicky's life after her baby brother had discovered his $4000 yellow, Satan Camero with custom faded black racing stripes was one of them. Some would say her life changed the night she and her brother followed his car and saw said car become a sixteen foot tall robot and maybe that's true but, to Sage...her life really change when she was suddenly embedded with a sliver of metal from an alien cube as she could now bring any kind of machinery to life.

Two years later, Sage watched her brother Sam go off to college. She hung out with her guardian, Jazz, for a couple of days, the two of them going sight-seeing when she was reunited with her brother when the Autobots swooped in to save Sam from Megatron.

The rescue mission lead the Witwicky siblings, Mikaela and Sam's roommate to come into contact with former Agent Simmons of Sector Seven who pointed the group towards the Air and Space Museum where a former Cybertronian was. Using the power she was given, Sage woke up the Cybertronian only to discover that it was a Decepticon.
