As the first-ever human born in the mighty Wildcrest Pride pack, Maylea's real parents gave her up as a baby. They knew their werewolf nature was no place for a human child as the Demon Alpha would target her.
Something told Demon Alpha Mason Dart to head towards a school where he caught our human-wolf as she fell from the stands. He could feel that she was his mate and rejected her at once simply because he believed all humans were weak. This causes Maylea to lose her voice, and her werewolf side is unlocked to help save her. Rejection from your mate can be lethal, and both slowly start to weaken.
Maylea discovers her origins and tries to find her mate that always seems to lurk in the shadows. The Wildcrest Pride pack is at war with Mason's pack, which pushes the mates further apart. The prophecy tells of an Angel wolf meant to defeat the Demon Alpha, but like all things lost in time, their destiny was mistranslated.
Maylea and Mason are meant to fall in love and unite the rival packs. Yet, nothing is ever that easy.
