We all hear about the great leaders or commanders, which gain their title as a hero just because of their social position or military rank.
But what about all the people in the lower social stratum, that risked their lifes for others in the second world war?
These short stories are about common soldiers in the second world war, that all be called "real heroes"!

My life turned upside down when I was 13 My father was murder right in front of my eyes by his own brother My mother betrayed me and my father When I was 13 I was thrown in a cell and haven't seen the light since 5 years later I was finally let out of my cell And was told I had to fight for my life ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the war that destroyed mostly every thing in America, in order to survive three major cities were built to help restore what was lost. To get everything back to normal again. Around those cities are small villages were the poor lives. The people who are barely surviving. The major city is called Alancia and that is were Victoria lives. Her father use to be the Leader of Alancia along side with his wife and brother. Until one day his brother killed him in cold blood and locked Victoria up in a cell. When she turned 18 she was offered a deal. Each year Alancia holds a fighting tournament for public display. The biggest and the baddest fight in this tournament and barely make it out alive. She has to fight in this tournament and if she won she had her freedom back. If she lost she would loose her freedom once again. Victoria knows she can't pass up this opportunity up. Even though she would be reminiscing old memories And meeting someone who can ruin it all Whatever the cost is she is willing to fight. "Kill Your Heroes" explores the costs of becoming a hero, and what it means to remain one - even when you are past your prime and a new generation wants to take your place. This story picks up both before, and after, "A Hero's Death," an earlier short story I wrote that is also available on Wattpad. The original short story featured a male hero, but in adapting the "A Hero's Death" to a Kickstarter funded graphic novel, the hero became a woman. Although the genders of the hero in "A Hero's Death" and "Kill Your Heroes" are different, thematically they work with the same character and many of the same issues.
