We all hear about the great leaders or commanders, which gain their title as a hero just because of their social position or military rank.
But what about all the people in the lower social stratum, that risked their lifes for others in the second world war?
These short stories are about common soldiers in the second world war, that all be called "real heroes"!

"Kill Your Heroes" explores the costs of becoming a hero, and what it means to remain one - even when you are past your prime and a new generation wants to take your place. This story picks up both before, and after, "A Hero's Death," an earlier short story I wrote that is also available on Wattpad. Can anyone really define what a hero is? Can anyone really completely understand what makes a hero? These are questions a lot of people ask themselves, many make guesses as to what a hero is... Or what they're supposed to be... To me a hero is someone who ran head first into danger without thinking twice, putting other people before themselves. Y/n l/n never believed he was a hero, even though he's shown every quality needed to say he was a hero... His parents are abusive, physically and mentally... They torture him and experiment on y/n, and whenever those experiments failed they left him chained to the wall... But even after being physically and mentally exhausted and physically hurt, he still shows up to save the day... Injuring himself more in the process... Only when he transfers to a new school and finds friends whom he can trust, does he learn to believe in himself more... The problem is most of those friends are superheroes like him, or have powers like him too. Follow him in his journey to become the greatest hero in the world. Let's get the facts straight. I am no heroine and I will never bring pride to my family. I am what you could call a failure. My grades? Average. My social life? Average. Talents?
