Century 24, near the Sea of the Germans.
In a community of ascetics, Sünori has found the means to create image universes, faithful copies of our world. He intends to use his invention to find in the past an enigmatic process, the Opening, to unleash the faculties of the human brain.
During his quest, he meets Ultia, a woman with unclear intentions, who was born more than a century before him and who seems to be the only one able to give him what he is looking for. After wandering through the arid landscapes of northern Europe and the crowded streets of a titanic city long gone, will Sünori find the Opening and bring to his community the hope of a new humanity, capable of avoiding the mistakes of the past?
