He doesn't know why or how he has a weird white diamond sword, small unbreakable white shield, the crown of bones that always have white fire on them and seem to scare every body, all his powers, or a strange feeling whenever he is around or thinks about a certain spiky haired daughter of Zeus, but he knows he has them for a purpose. Look... I didn't want to be a demigod. It wasn't really a choice though, a curse thrown upon her the moment her parents met.
