NOTE: CURRENTLY UNDERGOING REVISION! Twilight Eventide is a 15 year old girl who has a temper, a bad temper. That's where she got her name, Tempest. She is a real good fighter and can take care of herself pretty well. When she was 5, her parents were taken away and murdered, therefore she had to run away and ended up in Manhattan, for everyone thought she was the one that did it. Jack Kelly, who became her unofficial brother, took her in after a few years and brought her up to fight and sell papers. She has no need to dress up as a boy, being herself is much more intimidating. Tempest cannot do anything and thinks there should be more excitement in her boring dull New York life. Spot is the feared newsie leader from Brooklyn. He is known as a big womanizer, but he hasn't found "the one" yet. Right now he is with a girl named Livia, a greedy shirtwaist factory girl. He is a pretty good leader for Brooklyn, his cane that he stole from Pulitzer and his slingshot are his main weapons. Being intimidating has always been his way to get people to do what he wants, but it doesn't work on Tempest, not one bit. As they meet, will these two powerful newsies clash? Or will they be able to tolerate each other, at least until the end of the strike? (I do not own any Newsies Characters except the ones that I made up!)

The Wonderful Queer Story of Racetrack Higgins by VaquitaLibra

Racetrack Higgins is many things: a newsie, a gambler, witty, and smart. And he also wasn't born a boy. He can count the number of people who know that fun fact on one hand. It's a struggle to live as a boy while trying to make sure no one knows where he came from. Luckily, he has Jack to help him--a guy who wasn't born a guy, just like him. And he has Spot, who he may or not have feelings for, and who may or may not have more in common with him than he thinks. But this world is dangerous for people like Race. Spot Conlon is an eleven year old boy who lives in Brooklyn, New York. He works as a Brooklyn Newsies, selling papes for a penny each every day. Being a newsie is tough: there's never enough. Enough food, enough money, enough anything. One day, he arrives at the newspaper station to find it has been burned to the ground and the suspect is one of his newsie buddies, one of his only friends. He comes up with a plan for the other Brooklyn newsies to still sell papers and make money, put he is busy trying to prove his friend innocent... and then he meets a girl who spit-shakes and has mad fighting skills. And she's better than he is with a sling shot. Will he be able to control his feelings for this girl while at the same time prove his friend innocent? Of course he will! He's Spot Conlon! In Between 'Hattan and Brooklyn || A Sprace Story by Broadway_Crackers

Racetrack Higgins was a normal Manhattan Newsie- more or less. He was Gay, but so were all of his brothers. He was Jack's Second in Command and had a rough past. He was stubborn, has anxiety, and is a good bit chaotic. Spot Conlon was not a normal Newsie. He was the King of Brooklyn, the Borough feared by most. Except for Race. (And a few others.) Said Italian blonde boy was actually a half Brooklyn, half Manhattan Newsie, as he sold in Brooklyn. Sure, Spot scared him sometimes, but not a lot. They were very different. Spot had brown hair, Race had dirty blonde. Race had been to the Refuge, Spot hadn't. Spot had brown eyes, Race had bright blue eyes. Race was strong, but easily outnumbered, Spot was strong, but wasn't easily outnumbered. One think they both agreed was that they cared for their boys more than anything and would do anything to keep them safe. Oh, that and that the other was cute. Or hot, depending on if you were Spot or Race. ~~ Excerpt from the Story ~~ "Hey, Race." Ace starts, picking up his cards every time Race passes one to him. Race hums, passing a card to Sling, then himself, and then Ace. "Do you have a crush on Spot?" Ace asks, still staring at his cards. Sling hides his smile with his cards in front of his face, stifling a laugh. "No." Race answers, his face reddening slightly as he passes out another card to each boy. Ace looks up at him. "BS." He responds, smirking. Race scowls at him, pulling his hat off of his head and smacking Ace with it, all while his face turns bright red. Ace and Sling laugh. ~~ ~~ (I do not own Newsies.)
