Max had tried, tried so many times to let people know he feared his dad. But nobody seemed to listen. He knew people had seen what happened between his dad and him over the last couple of years. He knew they heard about his stories, but they never asked him about it.
Nobody had ever asked him directly if he was okay with his dad being there for almost every race. Nobody ever had asked him if he was okay after a fight with his dad. Nobody seemed to notice the pain the Dutchman was in, so max had found peace in the violence.
