Endangered species (furryxhuman)

After a mishap caused by terrorists, WW3 finally broke out and small conflicts turned into nations nuking each other. No one survived but a few humans but they soon died. Somehow life found a way to begin anew and feral animals started to mutate into anthropomorphic creatures that were capable of complex thoughts and human intelligence. They find out what humans has caused and they start a new society to fix what humanity has created.
