Students have a choice to go back for an 8th year but only 7th and 8th years and no other students. 

Draco Malfoy is already there seeing as he helped build the castle back up. Pansy and Blaise end up on the train back to Hogwarts along with the golden trio.

When they get there, they find only about 300 or so students there, they also find they get their own dorm rooms to themselves and that part of the castle is still off limits.

Malfoy started acting off and Pansy, Blaise, Ron, Harry, and Hermione all work together to try and find what's going on. It's terrible once they know ..
