Schizophrenia

Darkness. That's all there was, darkness encasing me. Fear stricken I spun around hoping for a way out of this dreadful place, but there was nothing. No light, no sound. I could hear my own heart beating but even that wasn't enough to fill the void of silence that hung around me, thick as fog. Stumbling forward, legs weak as a baby birds, my arms reaching out before me hoping for something, anything to be found. Even so my fingers found nothing not even a wisp of air laced itself around my fingers. I truly was alone.
