Jay's life was already pretty complicated. Adopted into a White family when he was born and having to try to navigate the world as a Black,Queer, adopted 16 year old. But things only get worse when strange things begin to happen to him and nightmares of a past he can't remember surface. Jay's world changes forever when he finds himself lifting objects with his mind and a very hot but seriously angry boy shows up calling him "one of us".

Now the world seems a lot more dangerous and secrets about Jays origins are being revealed. In his hour of need can Jay hold on to the family his always known or is the boy right...can he really be one of them.
