It's been a little over a year since the Dark Celestials arrived in the Safe Havens worldwide. Since then, crime has spiked in each of the magical cities, forcing the Peacekeepers and Protectors to shift into overdrive in order to keep things quiet. Unfortunately, Knox and Sol Sky (parents of the four Cervidian siblings Autumn, Spring, Summer, and Winter) uncover a horrible revelation of what the Dark Celestials are actually planning, and they realize that the Protector Force may have bitten off more than they can chew. Fortunately, Knox and Sol have the means to provide adequate backup... in the form of their four children.

Icarus has fallen. The powers of the Northwest Safe Haven Avatar have been stolen. The citizens of Safe Haven have lost their first line of defense. Now, in an act of desperation, three teams of have been dispatched by the Safe Haven Council to collect the absent Worthy, retrieve the missing Conqueror, and awaken the sleeping Founders. The first of these missions is the responsibility of Retrieval Team 1, who are tasked with bringing D'kala N'chaba, Kia Sosoto, and the M.I.A. Addison back to Safe Haven. However, though they now know Addison's location thanks to the card sent to his foster mother Latika, Team 1 is well aware of the fact that bringing him home is a lot easier said than done. While D'kala and Kia are more than willing to leave their jobs at Xirxine International to help protect their defenseless home, Addison may be an ENTIRELY different story... Arthrogonian Paragon Alexis Marnozal has finally found a little slice of heaven. Her mother's plan worked perfectly, and the arthrogon race was saved. Now Alexis can live a normal life at last. At least, that's what she'd hoped. The reality is not so simple. Safe Haven is no 5-star getaway, and things only seem to be getting worse. Xirxine is under pressure to provide protection to the citizens, and in order to do so, they've decided to create teams compiled of the most powerful members of Safe Haven's society.
