Only a handful of survivors made it to Origae 6, one of them the mining engineer Jules who lost her husband. She stays as a guard aboard of the Lander, together with Walter, to whom she feels a strong attraction, especially from the point of technics.
Soon she will find out that their small handfull is alive for a reason... and that Walter is not who he seemed to be. Jules is terrified, but she will do anything in her might to warn their home planet... even if that means to betray her fellow colonists or to serve as an object for studies.
