Her one night of fun turned into a night of chaos. One that can't be contained and one that took everything from her. And now she must fight for what she has left. Especially when it seems that the whole world is determined to leave her with nothing.

A girl has to fight a new world without the ones that she loves. And meeting new people on the way that have the potential to either destroy or help her.

The rain washed away the boiling temperature of the early morning. Leaving a raw humidity that was both a reprieve from the heat, but also a constant reminder of it. 

Some say the rain falls to keep the heat at bay. 

I think the rain falls today as a tribute to those affected by the virus and all the tears they cried. A small apology from Mother Nature meant to soothe those scorned by the havoc she unleashed. A comfort meant for all those unsuspecting victims of the sickness.

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Pen looses her mom soon into the craziness, and is alone with her best friend Troy Martens. After a mess in the woods, they loose each other. Pen finds herself alone in a cabin for a day, till a boy named Cole comes and finds her. Then Cole teaches her how to fight the dead walking around, and tries to keep her safe. Pen gets the hang of it quickly and tries to keep him safe too. With a world full of untrustworthy people, can pen find a way to trust again? Or will she find herself alone?

Muffled voices, blurred vision and heavy breathes were heard. The ship which everyone had longed for soon arrived. The plan was to run to the ship and never look back. The ferry was anchored at the harbor and on the signal, everyone ran for their precious lives, not daring to look back. Some people couldn't make it in 'The End' .
