Bella Swan enters Forks as naïve as any tourist. She has no idea about the school systems, the police system or the supernatural beings hiding in plain sight. She befriends an interesting girl and her sisters and through them she finds out about the protection the surrounds Forks and La Push, but knows nothing of the protectors. She finds out about her friend's unique ability and her brooding classmate's secret.
