No one even knew that Giyu struggled with depression, suicidal thoughts, and gender dysphoria for years - all while working along side the wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa. Shinazugawa is rough, aggressive, and loud, but when he finds Giyu standing at the edge, the facade falls.
