John had sacrificed everything to be able to stand on that podium above the people who used to bite and chase him - to have people bow down at his feet and willingly do his every bidding. He had to sacrifice his sanity, his life, and his soulmate, only to become further lost among the crowd where he had always stood alone...
except when he had her.
The hole he dug is deep; the only way out being up; but his broken shovel isn't able to carry out the dreaded task of fixing his mistakes when the pile of dirt has always sat out of his reach.
So he's gone now. John left with the wind and into the murky depths of Wellston's fastest river - famed for the ending of lonely souls. Into the white water he fell; into the stone and the grime and the fish.

Taking his fathers words to heart, John Doe returns to Wellston with the intention of expelling himself from the hierarchy; attempting to turn over a new leaf with the ones he fought with for weeks.
