Kayla is 14 and she lives in a little house next to the Jordan river. Kayla has long dirty blond hair. She is average height for her age. She has these blue eyes that if you look right into them you feel like you're in the middle of the ocean. Kayla's personality is very calm, she is curious, and has lots of potential.Kayla sounds like just an ordinary girl. Right? Wrong, Kayla's leg is shorter than the other one, causing everyone to treat her like a baby. She is not normal. Kayla does not understand why that is a huge deal, but her brothers and sisters are nervous that if something were to happen they would lose their sister. Kayla was not supposed to be born, their family were all done having kids but here she is and her family is so happy that she was born. Kayla does not know her father. She never met him. He died when her brother was 5 years old. Their sisters have little memory of him. Kayla is very curious about God. Rumors have it that someone is coming to town to preach. Her family believes that God is real and he will always be there to protect you. But Kayla does not understand why if he is always there to protect her why did he make her broken. He made her so that she can't play like all the other kids. Her family makes her stay inside. Except her brother Isaac. Issac is 19 and he is 5 years older than Kayla. Issac has always been close to Kayla.  Throughout Kayla's journey she comes to understand that she is not "normal" she is who god wants her to be. She has an amazing purpose and now the world will get to see the true heart warming story of her life. But, first Kayla has to come to understand why she is "Broken".
